1947-48
Unusually for the era, this kit was worn for one season only. The only difference between this and the kits directly before and after is a change in the colour of the collar from white to all-red. Even though it was used for only a short period of time there is still evidence of variation in the stockings used on match days. City began the season with hooped stockings, verified by the presence of Bobby Browne in the team photograph below (he only played in the first five games of the season). By January these had been replaced by solid red stockings with white tops.
