According to Bowser (2019), the Supporters' Club donated "a complete set of kit, which was worn for the first time against Scunthorpe during December 1925." We can infer from this that the previous season's kit was worn prior to this game, but whether the new kit followed the same design or that of the following season (with a white central stripe and black socks) is not known. We can though see that City's home colours are still listed as "maroon and white, white knickers" in September 1925.
